Dal - Anita's way!!

Ingredients:

1. Toor dal/Masoor dal/Moong Dal - 1 tumbler measure
2. Hill garlic - 5 pods
3. Jeera - 2 tsp
4. Asafoetida powder - 1/4 tsp
5. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
6. Country Tomatoes - 2 no.s
7. Long red chillies - 4 no.s
8. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
9. Sambar powder - 1 tsp
10. Salt to taste
11.Coriander - for garnishing
12. Curry leaves - 1 sprig

Method:

1. Pressure cook dal with hill garlic, asafoetida, tomatoes, jeera and turmeric powder in 2 tumblers water for 15 min
2. Mash the dal up and add 1 tsp sambar powder and salt
3. Temper with mustard, red chillies and curry leaves. Add dal and bring to a boil.
4. Garnish with coriander leaves
